I began painting when I was around ten. As a teen, I was influenced by a book on Russian Painters gifted to me by a family friend from America. I did mostly portraits, as seen below. And later, I began painting more Indian themed paintings. 

In my early thirties, when I got back to art seriously, I was influenced by Indian artists like Thota Vaikuntam, and also Pablo Picasso. It was this influence that made me abandon realism and  invent 2D abstract portraits of Indian women.

I'm mainly self-taught, and learned art by observing and experimenting. I did take a class in painting at City College, San Diego much later in life, and some of the class paintings are below.
